Friendship Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) is a private corporation, founded in 1995 and created distinctly to serve those people suffering from severe mental disorders. Since its origination, Friendship has expanded its range of services to include Intensive Outpatient and outpatient counseling services in addition to the Partial Hospitalization Program. Friendship CMHC offers counseling services to improve the quality of life of those people suffering from severe mental challenges. Services are available to adults, seniors, and children to meet their specific mental health and/or substance abuse needs. Therapeutic interventions are based on the recovery model, emphasizing a belief in the ability for each person to improve management of their mental health and substance abuse issues through increased awareness, development of self-enhancing coping skills, and inclusion of positive, individualized supports. Friendship CMHC provides comprehensive and integrated services tailored to the specific needs of the individuals served. Using a combination of group counseling, individual interventions, clinical care planning, transportation services, and daily meals, Friendship is able to provide a well-rounded experience for those seeking treatment, support, and recovery.
